General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has called on Christians to look onto Jesus Christ as their healer, deliverer and provider.
The cleric said this recently, while speaking on the theme: “Who Are We Being Asked To Look Unto?”
Explaining why Christians should depend on Jesus Christ, he said it is because he never refers a case, no matter complex the case may be and also it is by “his stripes we are healed” (1Peter 2:24).
He noted: “We are asked to look unto the one who is called the provider. Philippians 4:9 says, ‘those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
“We are asked to look unto the one who is called the great deliverer. John 14:6 says, ‘Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.’”
According to him, Christians are asked to look onto the promoter because promotion does not come from man, not from the east, west, north or south, but from God and whosoever God promotes would really be promoted.
He noted: “I was listening to the news and I heard of someone who had been nominated for a ministerial appointment and she got to the Senate where she was to be screened only to be told that the name has been withdrawn. That’s not my God. When my God promotes you, you are promoted. When he promotes you, you don’t need any screening.”
Blessing members, he said: “I decree right now to all of you who will look unto Jesus Christ, you will keep going higher in Jesus’ name.”
