Johannesburg – Bidvest Wits has no knowledge of reports that the owners of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) are interested in buying the Premier Soccer League club.
TTM spokesperson Tshidino Ndou had previously reported that the GladAfrica Championship was up for sale with some media outlets suggesting a deal has been completed.
Wits ware named as a potential option when funds were set to be put forward to acquire a PSL franchise.
When asked if the club was being purchased, Wits Board member George Mogotsi said e was not aware of such news.
“I am surprised. I read about everything said in the media. I don’t know anything,” said Mogotsi.
“I am surprised as everybody. Everyone including staff and players are still at home and nothing has been communicated that the club is being sold,” he added.
