Zuma back at ConCourt to appeal R10m cost order

Johannesburg – Former President Jacob Zuma is back at the Constitutional Court to appeal an estimated R10-million costs order against him.

The order was issued after his failed attempt to interdict the release of then Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s State Capture report.

Madonsela had investigated allegations the Gupta family benefitted illegally from the state resources. The High Court granted the order in 2017.

The former president argues the cost order against him was incorrect given that at the time he was acting in his capacity as the president.
