Zuma corruption trial delayed again

Johannesburg – A holding date has been set for Former President Jacob Zuma’s corruption trial.

Judge Piet Koen has proposed August 15, 2022.

Zuma wants Supreme Court Judge President Mandisa Maya to reconsider his application for the recusal of lead prosecutor advocate Billy Downer.

He alleges that Downer leaked vital information to the media.

The former president is facing charges of fraud and corruption alongside French arms dealer Thales.

This is over the controversial multi-billion rans arms deal struck back in the 1990s.
