JOHANNESBURG- The City Press is reporting that Jacob Zuma will face eighteen charges, relating to the 783 questionable payments he received. The charges including corruption, racketing and money laundering.

Prosecutors of the case are going to reinstate charges against him, according to the City Press report, it has relied on a NPA insider that has given out information that five seniors prosecutors will reinstate the charges against Zuma, the decision was made unanimously on Friday.

It was earlier reported that Abraham’s had made a deadline for senior prosecutions for Friday, to make their decision final on whether or not to reinstate the charges.  According to the report, the prosecution team have made their decision, and informed Abraham’s on their recommendations to reinstate the charges.

An NPA insider said, “There is no turning back. Zuma has to have his day in court. I cannot imagine Abrahams ignoring the recommendations of five prosecutors he appointed to guide him with this decision,” said an NPA insider.

“In fact, KwaZulu-Natal prosecutions boss Moipone Noko insisted in December that Zuma should have appeared in court 14 days after the court ruled the decision to drop the charges was irrational.

“She [Noko] was overruled by her boss Shaun Abraham’s who wanted to give Zuma another chance to make representations.”

The report also says, that is no set trial date and  Zuma is accused number one.
